Bed & Breakfast

From your quaint upstairs room with private balcony you can enjoy the extensive views...from the Maremman plains to the surrounding hills with their medieval and Etruscan towns, each with its own history and story to tell. A typical Italian breakfast is served on your private balcony while, in the distance, the local shepherd and his dogs herd the black Maremman sheep whose milk is used to make the famous "pecorino cheese".

'Podere Marianna' is conveniently situated in the countryside in the southern part of Tuscany in the area known as The Maremma...2 hours from Rome and Florence, 1 hour from Siena and Pisa and 15 minutes from the sea.

Where To Go & What To Do

The Maremma is one of the few places in Italy that has managed to preserve its territory which, with her nature parks, wildlife reserves, and fascinating archipelago represent a paradise for all nature lovers. The variety of activities is endless including; horse riding, trekking, biking, sailing, canoeing, fishing and bird watching. For the more historically minded a visit to Rome, Florence, Siena, with a little wine tasting in the Chianti, San Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra, Perugia and Assisi all just a short distance away. Besides the more frequented spots, we will be happy to share the secrets of many off-the-beaten-track places that we have only discovered by living here.
